HOPPUG
In January 2020, the step was taken to start a brewery / ciderie with 2 people, Stijn and Kim.
Hoppug not only produces beers, but also artisan ciders with a lot of attention for nature. For example, the fruit is often hand-picked and pressed to then undergo a long, slow fermentation.
The brewing installation is limited, brewing is done on a 150 liter installation. The keyword here is quality, not quantity. The intention is to further professionalize and also to start working with wooden barrels.
In addition, it maintains its own orchard from which hopefully the fruits can be reaped soon. These fruits are used in both the ciders and the beers. Wild and spontaneous fermentation is something that is also used, especially with the ciders.
