The nose is fruity with green plums, pickled apricots, apple, and a hint of wood, sherry, and lemon peel. The taste is crisp, lively and sparkling, similar to sparkling wine, with an estery fruitiness such as unripe plums, green gooseberries and sour grapes with a subtle sweet apricot undertone.
The finish introduces a ‘noble’ wood note without overshadowing the fruitiness. This Gueuze, with its dominant sour fruitiness and sweet undertone, stands out for its complexity, refinement and vibrant colors. Although already powerful, it will also benefit from more years of maturation to increase its charm. A worthy homage to our ancestors!
