How it started
For years dreamed Ronald Mengerink, along with his wife Monique de Baat its own brewery.
In 2000 she decided to buy a "hovel" in Brittany, France together. For seven years we worked in leisure time, with limited resources to this 'home' until it was refurbished.
After a smooth sale of this property, we could see the house with the adjacent warehouse Pastor Hangover Street in Baarle Hertog in 2007, buying and with a makeshift brewing equipment, some bearing tanks and a small bottling line, start.
Brewery 'The Daughter of the Corn' an understanding among beer lovers
The name of the brewery dates back to ancient chronicles Mechelen, where Emperor Charles V claimed, more to love "the juice of the daughter of the ear" than the blood of grapes. "
In other words, the best man held more beer than wine. This statement provides him today not only honor to be the patron saint of Belgian brewers guild, but also the creator of the name of our craft brewery.
Where we stand for: Freely and passionate striving "The Daughter of the Corn 'for years to beers with character.
In all the beers you'll find a touch of 'whimsy back, no doubt relate to the character of the brewer.
Always determined looking for innovations and improvements in the formulation, process, equipment and environmental factors.
