In 1847 there was at this point already a brewery, operated by the Pourbaix family. In 1871 it was sold to Jules Paternotte and in 1928 the activities were discontinued. In 1989 by master brewer Andre Graux the brouwactivieiten resumed in the former malt house. In 1987 he had two beers gecommercialisseerd under the names Le Fakir and Reserve Marie de Hongrie, which were renamed Binchoise Blonde and Binchoise Brune. In 2002, Bruno De GHORAIN takes the brewery over. Besides the brewery there is also a restaurant and a brewery museum.
