Aroma of caramel, dark fruit like fig, raisin and plum. Bready yeast notes. Massive depth of taste on first gulp. Spices, molasses and brown sugar. Rich, full mouthfeel. Dessert beer if I’ve ever tasted one. Hints of silky chocolate mousse, toffee and caramel. The excellent yeast notes keep coming to the forefront. In a way they glue this beer together and keep it smooth, savory with inviting aromas. They call this a Belgian strong dark rather than a brown ale, which I agree with. A very high quality, rich Belgian beer.
